The European Soccer School site is hosted by SportsEngine, a platform that severely limits design options and templates. This redesign was especially challenging because we could only work within the existing, very dated, template but needed to make the site cleaner and more mobile-friendly.

The first round of edits focused on consistency, readability, and visual hierarchy. Although we were not able to change the template, I found a setting to switch from 2-column to 1-column layout to minimize clutter and make the site easier to navigate on a phone. Standardizing the font and header styles across the site and reorganizing the Achievements page also improved visual appeal on both mobile and desktop.
Beyond the changes requested by the client, I also provided UX improvements:
- Consolidating similar pages to avoid repeat content and streamline information-finding for end users
- Adding key forms and content in a place that is quickly accessible to current players
- Organizing information about the program for potential players
- Removing outdated content
- Highlighting registration buttons
- Reordering menus to prioritize content
- Retouching, cropping, and adding text to photos
- Streamlining URLs and key assets
